My Review of Lifemax Mila

   by Dan McCallum
When I first started using Mila by Lifemax, I did it for the aches and pains that were growing in my body. On the Lifemax website there was lots of stuff about this chia seed and what it could do for all sorts of ailments from heart problems to weight loss. What the heck. I was already on vitamin B, vitamin D, CLA and all sorts of other stuff. Why not give this a try. If I could get rid of the supplements it would certainly cut a lot out of my monthly budget.
As a retired construction worker, who had worked as a boilermaker for over forty years, I was used to climbing towers, kneeling on cold steel in -20 degree Celsius temps.  Pushing, pulling, crawling into tight spots and working for hours on end in cramped conditions. After just a few days, the benefits of Mila started to show. Not only was I walking straighter, but I was able to go farther and faster. I had more energy and started exercising again. Soon the pounds started to shed and the muscle definition started to show. Boy, this sure was "The Miracle Seed" that Lifemax was claiming it to be. But the miracles didn't stop there.
Ten years ago, I was getting severe headaches. My Ophthalmologist diagnosed that I had glaucoma. I didn't know what glaucoma was, but apparently Ray Charles had gone blind from this disease when he was a child. After laser treatment, I was informed that I would have to use eye drops in both eyes for the rest of my life. The amount of fluid in a small bottle was quite miniscule but it was also expensive. Thank goodness I had a medical plan through my work. Not being one who was very good at taking medicine, I soon got into the habit of putting one drop in each eye before bed.
I was also one who had to wear a fairly strong prescription in eyeglasses, and about four years ago during one of my eye appointments it was noticed that the cataracts were growing. The good thing was that my eyesight was improving. So much improvement that I was able to get rid of the coke bottle glasses that I had been wearing since I was a child. Now I was able to drive without contact lenses or glasses. What a different world was opening up for me. My eye doctor called it "second sight"
Anyway, life was getting busy and I was forgetting to use my eye drops. I had my yearly appointment with the ophthalmologist coming up and realised a few days beforehand that I had not been putting in the drops as required for months. I had been putting them in maybe once a week at best. The results of the tests that were done were the best that I had up to that point. I had been expecting poor results in my pressure but they were normal. I explained to my doctor about my lapse and that it was unintentional. I told her about Mila and said that it may have stabilised my pressures and eye problems. After checking and rechecking the pressures about 4 times, just to make sure, she took me off of the eye drops, but we were going to keep a close watch on things for awhile by having the pressures checked about once per month. She won't say if she believes whether Mila is the difference, but she's certainly curious and is looking into the product as well.
